Download Ubuntu 64-bit PC desktop image - ubuntu-16.04.7-desktop-amd64.iso

Install Rufus:


Install Rufus 64-bit PC - rufus-4.6.exe

After installing OS Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS (Xenial Xerus):
Open Terminal - CTRL + ALT + T

Installing dependencies:
1. Installing cmake 2.8.12.2

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cmake

2. Installing make

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install make

3. Installing git

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git


1. Install

sudo apt install build-essential libqt4-dev qt5-qmake cmake qttools5-dev libqt5webkit5-dev qttools5-dev-tools qt5-default python-sphinx texlive-latex-base inotify-tools openssl libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev git sqlite3 libsqlite3-dev g++ libpng-dev gedit python gcc make libbz2-dev libdb-dev libssl-dev libreadline-dev autoconf libtool libleveldb-dev libblkid-dev e2fslibs-dev libboost-all-dev libaudit-dev nano qtbase5-dev qt4-dev-tools libqtcore4 libqtgui4 automake -y

2. Install

sudo apt-get install build-essential

3. Install

sudo apt-get install g++

4. Install

sudo apt-get install clang

5. Install

sudo apt-get install boost

6. Install

sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev

Restart PC.

Install & Build Bonyx:
1. Clone bonyx sources

git clone https://github.com/bonyx-project/bonyx.git

2. Go to directory /bonyx/

cd bonyx

3. Build

make
make -j
make
make -j

(ignore errors)

Run:
1. Go to directory /bonyx/build/release/src/

cd bonyx/build/release/src

2. Run

./bonyxd

3. Simplewallet (Open new Terminal - CTRL + ALT + T). Go to directory /bonyx/build/release/src/ (Step 1)

./simplewallet



Useful commands:
Delete existing blockchain:

rm -rf ~/.bonyx

Ubuntu Hash Check:
1. First open a terminal - CTRL + ALT + T
2. Then run the following command:

sha256sum bonyx-master.zip

Sha256sum should then print out a single line after calculating the hash:

You must be in directory with the file bonyx-master.zip

OR

sha256sum bonyx-wallet-master.zip

Next step to install Bonyx wallet. Graphic GUI wallet.
Bonyx wallet

For OS Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS (Xenial Xerus):

You must build Bonyx first. Easy install Bonyx wallet in 3 steps:

Open Terminal - CTRL + ALT + T

1. Clone wallet sources

cd
git clone https://github.com/bonyx-project/bonyx-wallet.git

2. Set symbolic link to Bonyx sources at the same level as src

cd bonyx-wallet
ln -s ../bonyx cryptonote

3. Build

mkdir build && cd build && cmake .. && make


Run:
You must be in /bonyx-wallet/build/ directory.

cd
cd bonyx-wallet/build
./bonyx


Install Bonyx on Windows.
Install Bonyx on Windows.

Windows Hash Check:
1. Press Windows+R to open the Run box.
2. Type cmd and click OK.
3. The Command Prompt window will open.
4. Run the following command:

certutil -hashfile bonyx.exe SHA256

You must be in directory with the file bonyx.exe

Run:
Run file bonyx.exe and install Bonyx program.

You must be in /bonyx/ directory.

Run file bonyxd.exe
Run file simplewallet.exe

Mining

Mining is done using CPU. ASIC and GRAPHICS CARD resistant algorithm.
It helps with decentralization. You can use ordinary PC for mining Bonyx.

Technical parameters:
You need CPU with L3 or L2 cache. 2MB L3 or L2 cache per 1 core.

Bios settings:
In bios you must disabled Virtualization.
In bios you must disabled Hyper-Threading.

Example:
If you have quad core CPU (4 individual CPU cores) with 6MB L3 cache. You can mine with 3 cores.
This is becouse you have only 6MB L3 cache.
